Your details, in plain words

Most people who apply to TinkerFund are under 18. We collect only what we need to run the fund, we keep it private, and you can ask us to delete it.

What we collect

From your team: team name, track, and your answers in the application and weekly updates.

For each member: name, class, section, roll number, WhatsApp number, email, and a parent’s name and phone number.

About your mentor: their name, phone number and what they do.

Photos you upload, and the link to your video (the video itself stays on YouTube or Google Drive).

Why

To choose teams, contact them, pay the ₹10,000, read weekly updates and decide the extra prize. Nothing else. We never sell your details or show them in public.

Who can see it

Only the TinkerFund team. Your mentor sees your team’s first names and problem on their confirmation link. Other students can’t see your application: each team logs in with its own code and PIN.

Where it’s kept

In a database in Mumbai, India, and a backup copy in the TinkerFund team’s private Google account, so nothing is lost if a server fails.

Website analytics

We use PostHog to count visits and see which pages help, so we can make the site better. It never receives names, phone numbers, emails or roll numbers, and nothing you type is recorded. Screen recording is switched off on the application, team dashboard and mentor pages, and IP addresses are dropped. Teams that log in are counted by team code only.

How long we keep it

Contact details (phone numbers, emails, parents’ details) are deleted within 6 months after the program ends. We may keep team names, ideas and results to show what students built.

Your choices

A student or a parent can ask us to show, fix or delete a team’s details at any time. Write to rjainmm@gmail.com. Deleting an application before results means the team withdraws.

Every member needs a parent’s OK to apply. We may call a parent or the mentor to check.
